Winner of five “Best Project” awards, this facility is a blend of a high-tech working environment in an historic renovation. The completed facility contains the Heartland Financial Center’s data and operations facility as well as corporate offices and a meeting and event center.
The Casey Architecture project team prepared a feasibility analysis, had the two building complex placed on the National Register of Historic Places, assisted with several financial incentive programs, and implemented the total renovation.
The abandoned 45,000 square foot four-story department store, constructed in 1886, stretched over an entire city block. A new four-story 14,000 square foot addition complements the historic building motif.
