The History Museum on the Square is an on-going Historic Tax Credit renovation of two buildings in downtown Springfield.
Facades of all the buildings have been restored, and the interior are currently under construction. Major renovation was required for both museum movement and compliance with the American Disabilities Act.
When the first phase is complete, the history museum will be comprised of three floors, two buildings, and 20,000 square feet.
Casey Architecture isn’t simply the project architect for this exciting project, the firm also acts as the project director hired by the museum and is working extensively with gallery designers and the museum curation staff to create a world-class experience in downtown Springfield.
